If you loved my Art Lessons by Artist then I think you will love my Art Around the Ancient World lessons too! Follow our homeschool for a trip around the Ancient World. I’ll be touching on Ancient art, history, literature and -last but not least- art project tutorials. This is a unique way to learn about art in history as well as history in general and adds a creative side to exploring the Ancient World and way of life.

Art Around the Ancient World:
I can’t wait to share with you my new art lessons designed to enhance study of 12 civilizations covering Prehistory to the Fall of Rome. That’s 6000 BC to 400 AD! The art course will complement any Ancient History Curriculum. This year we are using The Story of the World: Vol 1-text only, The Story of the Ancient World by Christine Miller, and Augustus Caesar’s World by Genevieve Foster plus a wonderful Ancient History Booklist of several living books and historical novels to complement each civilization studied. It’s my hope that you will follow along with me making your own creations inspired by Ancient art.
Art Around the Ancient World- the line up:
The following lists each lesson by civilization, what each lesson’s focus will be, and the media/project tutorial. (These are subject to change.)

This is perfect! We are using Story of the world vol.1 this year and I’m so looking forward in following your blog for your hands on activities. Thank you so much for sharing!
Stephanie
You are welcome. I’m so happy that you will be following and that this is something that can enhance your homeschool. How much fun this will be! It means a lot for me to be able to extend my ideas to my readers as well as my co-op and of course, our own homeschool too. I will let you know what chapters the project complement from Story of the World. But even if they don’t line up with all your plans perfectly, it’s okay to use the lesson to review also.

Perfect Brenda! That’s what we are doing too. So it will be a perfect match. I can reference for you and the others what chapters each project compliments for you to easily incorporate these into your own plans.

Yay! We’re studying ancient history this year and I haven’t planned much for art projects so this is perfect timing! Looking forward to seeing what comes.
Stephanie
Terrific. I am very excited about this year and all the fun art and history stuff that will come out of it! Feel free to send me an image of anything you make. I would love to see how your creations come out. And post any questions you may have too. It only helps me do a better job explaining the process in the future and may answer a question someone else has about a project too!
