Description
Who better than Mary, Mother of God, to lead us to Jesus?
She is the icon of the Church, the image we should follow. She is everywhere, in every Catholic Church, because God himself first raised her up. With the words St. Gabriel said to Mary we often pray, “Hail Mary full of grace, the Lord is with thee.” And in doing so we fulfill the words of her magnificat, “All generations shall call me blessed.” Mary gave all the glory to God and humbly accepted God’s plan.
School of Mary is learning, from Mary’s example, a Eucharistic attitude.
In my journey to draw near to Christ himself in the Holy Sacrament, I quickly found a most beautiful example in Our Mother Mary. Who better to lead me to Jesus than her? For the Lord is truly with her in a profound way.
School of Mary covers 5 topics:
Human Tabernacle
Mary was the first tabernacle. This reflection guides us through preparation for Holy Communion.
Trusting in God’s Power
We must trust God’s power to transform the bread and wine into His Body and Blood. With Him, all things are possible.
Adoration
Elizabeth first adored Christ in the Visitation. Because Jesus is truly present in the Blessed Sacrament, we too must adore Him.
Sacrificial Union
Want to go a bit further in faith? Don’t be afraid. Unite your own sufferings with Christ.
The Magnificat
When we allow Jesus to transform us. We can glorify Him.

Each reflection is then followed up with questions that are related. These questions can be used for personal study or group discussion. Each thoughtful question is designed to aid you in your prayer and preparation for Holy Communion-challenging you to dig a bit deeper into the scriptures and the catechism for both study and personal examination.
Others on School of Mary
According to Vatican II, the Eucharist “is the source and summit” of our life with the Lord. In this booklet, Stephanie Harrington looks to our Blessed Mother to lead us to a deeper appreciation of the Eucharist. I can say, with no hesitation, that if you read each chapter and spend a few quality moments reflecting on the questions at the end of the chapter, the Eucharist will never be the same for you. Stephanie Harrington truly shows us we have no better teacher than the Mother of Jesus.
~Fr. Kerry Ninemire, Pastor of St. Francis Xavier Parish of Junction City, KS.
Stephanie is very gifted in her reflections about the Eucharist and offers deep insights into this great mystery. During a catechist retreat she gave a powerful presentation of how our sufferings connect us to the Eucharist and how we draw closer to Jesus through our trials. Stephanie witnessed to the strength she derived from our Divine Lord in Holy Communion as she dealt with her own personal tribulations. For reflections during Eucharistic adoration she gave us copies of the booklet, School of Mary, to which Stephanie and her whole family contributed. I strongly recommend her booklet to make one’s time with the Lord more fruitful. St. Francis Xavier Parish is very blessed to have Stephanie as one of it’s members and catechists.
