Love this recipe! Although I was slightly confused when I noticed my muffins didn’t rise quite a bit…… Then I looked at my ingredients I put in…I had forgotten the basin powder! They still tasted amazing though! Guess I should double check the recipe next time!

Yes, baking powder is essential! But I am sure that even without they still tasted yummy. Thanks for your comment!

These are good. I changed things up a little bit, because, as my husband says, I am completely incapable of following a recipe exactly. I didn’t use the cocoa, or the chocolate chips. I used 1 c organic flour, 1 c organic whole wheat flour, 2 Tbsp organic cinnamon, 1 c shredded organic coconut in the batter, 1/2 c organic sugar, and 1/3 c organic coconut oil. Then I hollowed out the middle of the muffins and filled them with nutella. Super yummy, my husband and both of my picky eaters had no idea it was so healthy. My whole family thinks I’m giving them treats for breakfast!

Changing a recipe up and know what to change and the amounts is a great skill to have! And -Wow, that does sound yummy. I’ve also had readers suggest coconut oil instead of canola, which also sound great! I haven’t tried that, but it’s on my list to do!
